The Italian Supreme Court Corte di Cassazione , with judg. no. 17532/2016, has determined that, in the field of disability support, the notification of the first instance judgment should be delivered to the INPS (the Italian National Social Security Institute)  officer who was in court on behalf of The Entity, not at the Institute.

The Judges on September, 2nd stated: "In the event that the PA is allowed to defend himself in person or through their employees the notification of the judgment, and the subsequent appeal, must be made to the officials who defended the Institute in court".
Furthermore, the judges stated that the place of the notification, in absence of the constituted defender's name, does not ensure that the sentence comes to the knowledge of the part through his legal, who is the only one qualified to examine the opportunity to bring an appeal.
