China lowered down import custom duties on wide range of products

Last December, China reduced import custom duties over 187 different products. Having regard to the extent of the lowering down (on average, the rate is halved), at a European level the operation is expected to increase up to 8 billion of value the export between UE and China.

Most of the products involved entail fields in which Italy has an undisputed role of leadership in the area of export. In particular, it is the case of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, clothing and shoewear, and pasta. Each of these field was respectively worth 506 million, 33,5 million, 80,7 million and 19,2 million in 2016.
