On last Monday, November 28th, the Chinese government has issued new guidelines aimed at the support the services sector, such as towing to an increase in consumption and the consequent rise in GDP.

In particular, the goal of the Chinese government is to bring about a marked acceleration in the field of tourism, the elderly care, cultural promotion, sports events, healthcare and education.

Among the measures approved by the government, there are administrative facilities for those traveling to China for tourism purposes (id est the possibility of access to China without a visa), tax deductions on health insurance, administrative simplification in the field of nursing homes and facilitation of cooperation with foreign companies in the education sector.

The objective of strengthening the services sector stems from the slowdown in the manufacturing sector and exports. In the first three quarters of 2016, the service sector has increased by 3.4 percentage points from a year ago.
