Internet Advertising Interim Rules: no more stop advertising by Adblock.

From next September, a new regulation limiting online activities will enter into force in China. As announced by the Chinese Ministry of Trade “any software or hardware intercepting, seeping in, covering, re-direct or in any measure avoiding the display of an advertising” shall be prohibited.

In few words, it is a stop to Adblock.

The advertisements displayed on web pages will be stand out in a clear and visible way for the user; the “close” button will be highlighted; advertisement by e-mail will be admissible only upon the user’s choice.

This news has already impacted web with particular emphasis on his prohibitive nature, without however get that the major benefit is for users.

It usually happens that a web page is not well displayed, unless having closed all the others pop-ups automatically appearing.

As well, it happens that the web surfing is blocked because you need an additional plug-in; moreover, lot of advertising e-mail are sent and received without any prior choice or authorization.

If you want to stop this, you have to download Adblock.

The Chinese Government said stop to such system.

The regulation is not news, as the same purposed has already been reached in other European countries. So why should you see the Chinese one as a prohibition? It is not; rather it is a great protection for user and a freedom in the Firewall system, so to be appreciated.
